How To Green Your Bathroom Routine…

Green Bathroom

Did you know that on average, one roll of normal toilet paper requires ~37 gallons of water and over a gallon of bleach, formaldehyde, and other chemicals per roll?

Sometimes, in our quest for cleanliness and convenience, we overlook the environmental implications of our everyday products. And toilet paper is definitely one of those products. From its production to disposal, toilet paper contributes to deforestation, water and energy consumption, chemical pollution, waste generation, and excessive packaging.

It’s time to give that bathroom a new, low-waste makeover. In addition to refilling all your bathroom essentials – soaps, shampoos, conditioners, skin, and facial care products — we would like to introduce you to a couple of our favorite, low-waste bathroom items:

Plant Based Toilet Paper: Plant Paper
The greener, cleaner way to do the wiping…

  • Tree-free and toxin-free
  • Made from fast growing FSC-certified bamboo
  • Septic safe and unbleached
  • 3 ply, thick, absorbent and oh so soft (believe us… it feels like the fanciest TP we have ever used) and fits on any normal toilet paper holder

Waste Saving Bidet: Tushy
One of the best ways to reduce your waste in the bathroom is to use less toilet paper…
  • All you need is just one pint of water, and far less toilet paper
  • Save money on all that toilet paper
  • Super easy to install and requires no power at all (ie, a very easy toilet bidet attachment)

Small changes to our bathroom routines — opting for eco-friendly alternatives and practicing responsible consumption — can contribute to a healthier home and planet.
