Organic Kidney BeansCultivated as early as 8,000 years ago, dark red kidney beans are enjoyed throughout the world. Kidneys are versatile and hold their shape when cooked; their earthy color, dense texture, and rich meaty flavor are suitable for both hot and cold dishes.
These beans are packed with protein, fiber, folate, magnesium, potassium and a number of other health promoting nutrients. With their deep red color, cooked red kidney beans can liven up a wide range of meals including salads, chili, soups and stews.
To cook, soak beans overnight, rinse, add fresh water and bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer and cook until soft.
